BATI AKDENİZ BÖLGESİ’NİN YEŞİL YÖNETİM PERSPEKTİFİNDE SWOT ANALİZİ

Abstract

Günümüz dünyasında çevre, yeşil ve sürdürülebilir gelişmeler, iklim değişikliğinden kaynaklanan zorluklar ve kötüleşen çevre koşulları nedeniyle son yıllarda artan bir ilgi görmesiyle “yönetim” teriminin önüne “yeşil” sıfatının konmasına neden olmuştur. Çevreye duyarlı yönetim ve çevre dostu yönetim olarak da adlandırılan yeşil yönetim basitçe örgütlerin faaliyetlerinde çevre odaklı hareket etmesidir. Yeşil yönetim, çevre bilincinin geliştirilmesi, enerji kaynaklarının ve çevre dostu teknolojilerin kullanılması, atıkların yeniden kullanılması ve işletmelerin üretim faaliyetlerinden başlayarak ambalajlama ve tüketicilere ulaştırmaya kadar geri dönüşüm faaliyetlerini içeren bir paradigmadır. Yeşil yönetim, yeşil ekonomiye yol açan yeni, daha sürdürülebilir ve dayanıklı ekonomi modellerini benimsemek için gerekli eylemlerin birçok önermesinden biridir. Yeşil yönetimin amacı, işletme faaliyetlerinin çevre ile uyumlu olarak yürütülmesini sağlamak, işletme amaç, vizyon ve hedefleri ile işletme fonksiyonlarında çevreyi korumak, sürekli gelişmeyi sağlamak ve sürdürülebilirlik ilkesine uygun teknolojileri seçmektir. Bu tür bir yönetim, küresel, ulusal ve bölgesel olmak üzere farklı ekonomi seviyelerinde gözlemlenebilir. Çalışmada Batı Akdeniz Bölgesine ait araştırmalar yeşil yönetim perspektifinden incelenmiş bu inceleme sonucunda SWOT analizi kullanılarak bölgenin bu anlamda güçlü, zayıf yönleri ve fırsat, tehditleri ortaya konmuştur.
