Publication Rules

Researches and articles written or translated in the fields of social and human sciences (history, culture, education, art, economic and administrative sciences, philosophy and religious studies) as well as experimental, descriptive and theoretical studies, model suggestions, etc. are published in Katre. The journal also publishes book reviews and reports concerning national and international academic and cultural events.

The articles submitted to the journal should not have been published anywhere before and should not have been decided for publication. Papers that were previously presented and published as symposium papers and articles published in non-refereed publications can be published, provided that they have been improved by at least thirty percent and have been upgraded to the level of peer-reviewed articles by adding new comments. However, their rate cannot exceed one third of the peer-reviewed articles; The place where they were previously published must also be specified.

Katre publishes articles submitted in English or Turkish.

Katre is published twice a year, in June and December.

Evaluation of Articles
Manuscripts sent to the journal for publication are reviewed by the editorial board in terms of purpose, scope, content, method, and compliance with spelling rules. Studies are also checked up for plagiarism. Manuscripts found suitable are sent to two reviewers to be evaluated in terms of scientific proficiency. If the reviewer reports are positive, then the article is published after the editorial review; If one of the reviewers gives a negative report, the editor can decide to publish the article. The work that has been decided for publication is placed into the publication queue. Reviewer reports are confidential. The author(s) are informed of the development related to their work within the period.
Authors must take into account the reports of editors and reviewers. Scientific and legal responsibility of the published articles belongs to the author. Editors decide to publish or not to publish the submitted article. Submitted articles are not returned whether they are published or not. No royalties are paid to authors.
